Using your PlantCare QR Code
Care instructions at your fingertips!
Your plant comes with a QR code sticker to place on your pot or near your plant so that your care instructions are always at your fingertips using a phone or tablet with an internet connection.
Instructions:
Most newer Android and Apple devices will scan straight from the camera app. Simply open the camera app and point the camera steadily at the QR code. If a notification or link pops up on the screen, tap it to access your care instructions.
If no notification or link pops up, try going to your camera settings to turn on QR code scanning:
Android Device
Find your camera settings (usually a cog icon in the camera app). You may need to tap More Settings. Find and turn on a setting called Google Lens Suggestions or Scan QR Codes.
Android devices vary between manufacturers so your settings may be different.
Apple Device
Open your phone’s settings app, tap Camera, then turn on the Scan QR codes setting. Older Apple devices may not have this setting available.
If these settings aren’t available on your device, you can download a QR scanning app from your app store. Google Lens is a good one for Android but there are many free ones available on both the Android and Apple app stores. Usage instructions may differ between apps but most work similarly to the instructions above.
